Agricultural Drone Subsidy & Government Policy in India – mPower

With an estimated gross production value of $440.80 billion in 2024 and an annual growth rate of 7.91 percent from 2024 to 2028, India ranks among the world's top agricultural nations. In FY24, the Indian Government allocated 1.9% of the total Union Budget to Agricultural sectors, designated to support marginal or small scale farmers through PM KISAN Yojana. In recent years agriculture drones are becoming increasingly popular, offering a wide range of benefits to farmers, from efficiency, enhanced crop yields, to reducing farming cost, improving accuracy and more. In addition, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is actively promoting the use of drones in agriculture and establishing the Center for Decision Making and Farming Technologies.
