About this tour
Mardi Himal Trek is a fantastic option for nature lovers who want to explore the beautiful landscapes of the Annapurna region in Nepal without the crowds. The trek takes you into the peaceful surroundings of Mardi Himal (5,553m), which stands proudly near the famous Machhapuchhre (also known as Fish Tail, 6,997m).
Trek Overview
We begin the trek with a short drive from Pokhara to Dhampus Phedi, and then start our hike to Deurali via Pothana, where we will spend the night in a quiet setting. The next day, we’ll move on to Kokar, a peaceful camp surrounded by forests.
As we continue the trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp, we’ll pass through beautiful forests filled with bamboo, rhododendrons, and oak trees. Along the way, we’ll meet local farmers in small villages, which are not overrun by tourists. These communities offer a real taste of the local culture and warm hospitality.
As we move higher, we’ll stop at the Low and High Camps before reaching Mardi Himal West Camp at 4,500 meters, the highest point of our trek. From here, we’ll enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Manaslu.
The trek concludes with a relaxing descent back to Pokhara, where you can choose to take a scenic flight or a bus ride to Kathmandu.
