Viyona Fintech Secures NPCI Approval for UPI Services via GraamPay, Viyona Pay

The approval marks a key milestone in Viyona’s mission to accelerate digital payment adoption across Tier II, Tier III, and underserved rural markets in India. By collaborating with partner banks, the company will now be able to extend Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services more effectively to communities that have traditionally been left out of the digital payments ecosystem.

“This recognition from NPCI underscores their confidence in our ability to make UPI payments more accessible for farmers, shopkeepers, and households. With GRAAMPAY and the Farmers Marketplace, we aim to deliver secure, simple, and inclusive financial solutions tailored for both urban and rural communities,” said Ravindranath Yarlagadda, Founder of Viyona Fintech.

Viyona’s flagship platform, GRAAMPAY, has been built to serve the unique digital payment needs of rural India. It enables farmers, small merchants, and local communities to carry out UPI transactions, digital collections, and payouts with ease. Beyond payments, GRAAMPAY also fosters rural e-commerce and financial literacy through its network of Village-Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

As part of its growth strategy, Viyona is preparing to roll out a Farmers Marketplace within the GRAAMPAY ecosystem. This initiative will connect farmers directly with buyers, enhance price transparency, speed up settlements, and widen access to UPI-based digital payments, thereby empowering rural communities with greater financial independence.
